Prove Corona vaccination or COVID-19 status with the Verimi app.

Berlin, 08 July 2021. Verimi is expanding its app to include the digital COVID passport. In simple steps, users scan the QR code they received, for example, at your Corona vaccination or after a Corona test, with the Verimi app and deposit the proof in their digital wallet, the Verimi Wallet. The proof then resides in the personal digital data vault and is encrypted in a particularly secure way using the Verimi security architecture. Users can access their COVID passport across devices with the secure login to Verimi and secure it with a second factor if desired.
In a next stage of expansion, Verimi plans to allow users to additionally link the COVID passport with verified identity data from the Verimi wallet. This may enable users to prove that the pass is indeed their personal COVID pass without additionally showing their ID card on site or in digital processes. “The well-established Verimi Wallet, with all the features related to secure digital ID, is ideally suited for the Corona digital vaccination passport. Our Verimi Wallet has already proven itself in live operation in many use cases with many users” says Roland Adrian, Managing Director and Spokesman of the Management Board of Verimi “the legal requirements for handling confidential ID card data as well as our guidelines commit us to the highest data security and privacy. The COVID passport at Verimi is based on the open standards of the digital COVID certificate of the EU and the Federal Ministry of Health. The COVID passport is available now in the Verimi app.
