Cooperation between the Verimi identity platform and the German Golf Association (DGV) offers golfers a digital DGV ID card
Verimi ensures digital identification and authentication
Berlin/Wiesbaden, 12.12.2019. The German Golf Association (DGV) and the Verimi identity platform are working together to offer a digitalized DGV ID card for the first time. The free digital version is available to club members in addition to the physical ID card, which can still be used. Verimi supports the DGV as a technological partner and service provider. Golfers are clearly and securely identified online via a DGV registration page (www.golf-dgv.de) and the linked Verimi platform and can then use the digital DGV card on their smartphone.
“The issue of data protection is particularly important to us, which is why we use Verimi, the leading authentication platform in Germany, for the digital DGV card of our 642,000 golfers,” says Claus M. Kobold, President of the DGV.
“We are delighted to offer all golfers secure access to the digital golf world. Our collaboration shows that Verimi can be used in all areas of life and offers users a quick way to access digital services in sport and lifestyle,” explains Roland Adrian, Managing Director at Verimi.
With the digital DGV card on their smartphone, golfers can carry their current handicap with them at all times
In future, the card on the smartphone can be used instead of the physical card. In addition to the advantage of being able to view their current handicap on their smartphone at any time, golfers will be able to use digital services such as a Qualified Electronic Scorecard (QeSC) in the coming season.
By linking the golf-dgv.de website with Verimi, golfers will have secure access to their personal data at all times. With a Verimi account, all registered users can also easily identify themselves online or log in to other services, such as insurance companies and banks.
