Berlin/Erfurt, 1.10.2019. Der Freistaat Thüringen integriert als erstes Bundesland die Identitätsplattform Verimi in sein E-Government-Portal. In der ersten Stufe ist ab sofort das sichere Anmeldeverfahren mit Verimi als Zugang zum neuen Verwaltungsgsportal von Thüringen verfügbar. Bürgerinnen und Bürger können sich mit einem Verimi-Account sicher anmelden unter verwaltung.thueringen.de und Verwaltungsleistungen wahrnehmen sowie Online-Formulare mit Verimi vorbefüllen. Die Angebote werden sukzessive ergänzt und ausgebaut.
Finanzstaatssekretär und CIO des Freistaats Thüringen, Dr. Hartmut Schubert, sagt: „Wir werden in Deutschland mit unseren Digitalisierungsprojekten und den darin investierten Milliarden scheitern, wenn wir es nicht schaffen, den Bürgerinnen und Bürgern Konzepte für sichere und nutzerfreundliche Verwaltungsanwendungen zu bieten. Wir sollten die Chancen neuer Technologien nutzen. In diesem Zusammenhang müssen wir die bestehende Bürger-Akzeptanz von digitalen Angeboten der Wirtschaft für die Verwaltung selbst nutzen. Deshalb sehe ich in der Zusammenarbeit mit Anbietern der Wirtschaft einen wichtigen Weg.“

Der Zugang über Verimi funktioniert über die Kombination von E-Mail-Adresse und Passwort. Zusätzlichen Schutz beim Einloggen bietet die Abfrage eines zweiten Faktors, wie zum Beispiel ein biometrisches Merkmal über das Smartphone. Damit ermöglicht Verimi den unkomplizierten und sicheren Zugang zu Online-Verwaltungsangeboten für Thüringens Bürgerinnen und Bürger.

Berlin/Erfurt, 1 October 2019: The Free State of Thuringia is the first federal state to integrate the Verimi identity platform into its e-government portal. In the first stage, the secure login procedure with Verimi is now available as access to Thuringia’s new administration portal. Citizens can log in securely with a Verimi account at verwaltung.thueringen.de and use administrative services and pre-fill online forms with Verimi. The services will be successively supplemented and expanded.
State Secretary of Finance and CIO of the Free State of Thuringia, Dr Hartmut Schubert, says: “We will fail in Germany with our digitalisation projects and the billions invested in them if we do not manage to offer citizens concepts for secure and user-friendly administrative applications. We should utilise the opportunities offered by new technologies. In this context, we must utilise the existing public acceptance of digital offerings from industry for the administration itself. That’s why I see cooperation with business providers as an important way forward.”

Access via Verimi works via a combination of e-mail address and password. Additional protection when logging in is provided by requesting a second factor, such as a biometric feature via the smartphone. Verimi thus enables uncomplicated and secure access to online administrative services for Thuringia’s citizens.
