Berlin, 13 November 2018 The identity and data platform Verimi is expanding its reach in Germany and is now integrating selected offerings from Verimi shareholders Allianz, Axel Springer and Deutsche Telekom.

Allianz customers benefit from the centralised Verimi login on the “Meine Allianz” platform. Axel Springer will link the two high-reach portals of BILD and WELT with Verimi. Users of BILD.de and WELT.de will be able to use the Verimi login in addition to their existing user account when logging in.

Deutsche Telekom customers can use the Verimi login as an alternative access point for the customer centre and telekom.de.

“We are delighted that Allianz, Axel Springer and Deutsche Telekom are three more renowned and high-reach partners who have integrated Verimi,” says Jeannette von Ratibor, spokesperson for the Verimi management team. “Millions of customers in Germany now have easy access to our platform, which we are constantly expanding.”

With Verimi, users manage their digital identity in order to use online services from a wide range of industries and retain control over how their personal data is used at all times. The integration of the Verimi login is the first step; further functions and fields of application will be added successively.

Allianz, Axel Springer and Deutsche Telekom are strong partners

“For us as an insurer, the trustworthy handling of our customers’ data is particularly important. We are delighted that we can now offer our customers additional, convenient access to our customer portal Meine Allianz, which meets the highest security standards,” says Jan Malmendier, Head of Operations Organisation at Allianz Germany. On Meine Allianz, the insurer’s customers can manage their policies digitally and communicate with the insurer paperlessly. Allianz customers can now also authenticate and log in to the customer portal via the centralised Verimi login.

Stefan Betzold, Managing Director of BILD Digital: “The trustworthy handling of user data is essential for our media offerings. By connecting our wide-reaching BILD and WELT portals to Verimi, we are offering our users additional secure access and thus supporting the development of Verimi into a cross-industry identity platform.”

Dirk Backofen, Head of Telekom Security, says: “With the expansion of Verimi services, we are driving forward secure digital identities under the protection of strict German data protection. At the same time, we are offering our customers further convenient access to our products and services. The Verimi master key is now also suitable for the door to our customer centre.” Deutsche Telekom customers already use the Telekom login consisting of a user name and password for the customer centre. Verimi now offers an alternative authentication method. Customers simply need to link their Telekom customer centre access with the Verimi login once in the login settings.
