Identify yourself securely with Verimi Video-Ident

Secure identification with the Verimi Video-Ident In this video, we show you how easy it is to store your identity data in the Verimi ID Wallet with the Video Ident.

What you need:

• A smartphone, laptop or tablet with a camera,
• an identity card or passport.

Step 1 Login: Log in to your Verimi ID Wallet. If you have not yet created an ID wallet, you can do this directly on Verimi.de or with the Verimi app. If you want to confirm your identity directly for a Verimi partner, follow the instructions there. You will then be taken directly to step 3.

Step 2 Add personal documents: Go to “My profile” → “Personal documents” and select “Verimi Video-Ident”.

Step 3 ID document: Decide between ID card or passport and click on “Next”.

Step 4 Data entry: Enter your personal data and click on “Save and continue” to proceed to the next step.

Step 5 Video call: You will be directed to the video call with an agent. You will be asked for the reason for identification – say “Verimi” or the name of the provider you want to identify yourself with. During the call, the agent will ask you to confirm your details again in person and hold your ID document up to the camera in various ways.

Step 6 Confirm the personal data read out: At the end of the video call, you will receive a TAN number via SMS. Please enter it and confirm it.

Congratulations! You have read out your online ID card and your data is now available for you in the Verimi ID Wallet. This makes online identification as easy as mobile payment.

With your Verimi ID Wallet you can: Identify yourself digitally with many partners, sign contracts digitally and easily share your verified ID data as a PDF.

Your physical documents remain safely stored at home.
