Berlin, September 16, 2021 – Verimi and WebID are entering into a strategic partnership to expand the digital identity ecosystem. WebID now also offers the Verimi Wallet as a method for verifying customers’ identities via its international platform.
This gives the more than 300 WebID partner companies the opportunity to offer their customers the option of using the identity data deposited with Verimi as a digital ID. End customers who have not yet deposited their data with Verimi can also be offered to store their ID data just verified by WebID in the Verimi wallet. In this case, WebID incorporates a “Save to Verimi” option into the identification process using established WebID Ident methods (Video-Ident, Account-Ident, eID-Ident and AI-Ident).

Platform customers will be able to quickly realize the added value from the new partnership for themselves, as Verimi will be usable within the framework of existing technical connections. New connections will also be made via the proven central interface at WebID. For end customers, the Verimi wallet will serve as a digital wallet for convenient use at all connected partners from various industries.
